This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified solicitor with 3–5 years’ PQE and solid experience in UK business immigration law to further develop their career within a client-focused and commercially minded practice.
You will work closely with senior solicitors and partners, advising corporate clients on a broad range of business immigration matters. The role will provide the opportunity to develop strong client relationships while working on a varied caseload involving sponsor licensing, visa applications and immigration compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise corporate clients on a range of UK business immigration matters, including:
- Sponsor licence applications, renewals and compliance
- Skilled Worker visa applications
- Global Business Mobility routes
- Expansion Worker applications
- Business visitor requirements
- Right to work requirements and checks
- Prepare and submit applications to UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI), ensuring all supporting documentation is accurate and complete.
- Assist corporate clients with immigration audits and Home Office compliance matters.
- Draft and review legal advice, client guidance and other immigration-related documentation.
- Keep up to date with changes to UK immigration legislation, Home Office guidance, policies and procedures.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, including HR and in-house legal teams.
- Work alongside the wider immigration and employment team on more complex matters where required.
- Manage your own caseload effectively, ensuring matters progress within agreed timescales.
- Accurately record time and manage billing in accordance with the firm’s procedures.
- Contribute to the development of the firm’s immigration offering and internal resources.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a qualified Solicitor with 3–5 years’ PQE who has a strong background in UK business immigration.
You will ideally have:
- 3–5 years’ PQE with demonstrable experience in business immigration.
- Good knowledge of UK immigration law and the current immigration routes relevant to corporate clients.
- Experience advising employers on sponsor licences, Skilled Worker applications and immigration compliance.
- Strong drafting and written communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage a varied caseload.
- A commercially minded and practical approach to providing legal advice.
- The confidence to communicate directly with clients and build strong professional relationships.
- The ability to work independently while also contributing effectively to a wider team.
- A proactive approach to keeping up to date with developments in immigration law and practice.
